Lately.

I am a little, well a lot, overwhelmed with everything that needs to get done. I have little people to dress and feed and take care of. A house to clean, which at this very moment, looks like a tornado hit it. So many pictures to edit and post. My blog is suffering. Big time. I keep waiting for a moment to sit down and recommit to my blogging endeavors. I'm hoping it comes sooner than later. But for now, here is one little gem from this weekend.

 

We like to party.

For years Momsie has taken all the grandkids to the mall right before Christmas to pick out their presents.  We eat at the mall, shop, and then head back up to the food court where everyone wraps their own present.  She takes all the presents home and gives them out on Christmas day.  It is such a fun tradition and quite brilliant.  So, what better way to celebrate her 81st birthday than to do the same thing for her!  Happy birthday Momsie...you are the best!

My little girl had a big weekend. She got her ears pierced and learned how to ride a two-wheeler!

Angela and Paul get married.

Last month we were in Salt Lake to see Jason's youngest sister get married.  My kids adore their aunt Angela.  She truly is one of the kindest people I know.  I am so happy for her and Paul.  They make a perfect pair!

This girl was born to dance.  She's passionate about it.  As I'm writing this post I can hear her in the kitchen doing leaps and turns. I'm not kidding.

I had intentions to do separate posts after each competition, but since that never happened let's just say they got a lot of first places, high golds and even a "you rocked JUMP" award for their hip-hop. Brynli's team traveled to NUVO in Seattle, and NUVO and JUMP in Ogden. She got first place for her solo at Spotlight and Nexus, fourth place at NUVO in Seattle, and won the dance down at Spotlight. She was also a VIP runner-up at NUVO and JUMP in Ogden.  Her team had a great season and are a group of very talented dancers.

backyard hideaway.

Last week my kids spent their entire afternoons playing in the backyard.  They filled up water balloons, jumped on the tramp, played on the swing set, rode bikes, and built a little fort under the trampoline.  I love that the weather is warming up.  I love that my kids enjoy playing outdoors.  I love that it stays lighter longer.  It all means summer is right around the corner.  I can't wait.
